I'm loving MAKzilla, did a chicken cook today. True to form MAKs are great chicken cookers. Not much of a learning curve at all, the dual fire pot is great, and I really like cooking with one and smoking with the other. The temperatures are very consistent in the entire cooking area, I've yet to use the movable thermocouple. It was in the high 20's today, and I had no problem holding temps, just like the Two Star, I set my temp 5 degrees over my target temp. Smoke output is ridiculous, definitely more than my Two Star, but not over done. To date we have cooked turkeys, butts and chicken on the Four Star and the results have been pleasantly predictable and tasty too. We are doing a rib cook tomorrow, and I bet my house they turn out great too. Gearing up for the 2013 BBQ season, which will start at the end of January for us. 2013 could be a very good year indeed.
