anyone do this type of marinade injection in beef? coffee?? just curious

For a good injection,

Dissolve 3 beef bouillon cubes in 1/2 cup hot water.
Add 1/2 cup coffee. (decaf is fine also) The coffee really enhances the Beef flavor.

Let cool and begin injecting into the roast against the grain about 2" apart.

I usually drink my coffee... never thought about injecting it, but it's a thought! :p

Now on a more serious note...

I really like your coffee & beef broth idea, but 3 bouillon cubes? Wow that's a ton of salt (not to mention the MSG).

Why not skip the bouillon and try simmering some of the brisket trimmings in some coffee with some onion, garlic & a little salt. Then strain, cool & inject. I can see that really tasting good.

I have used beef broth and coffee as a mop but not and injection. I used 2 cups of tetra packed beef broth, half a cup of coffee, 2 cloves of garlic, half an onion and a bay leaf. I reduced it down by about half and mopped a cheap roast with it.
