Lets proclaim winter over and have a contest

When I bought my SV Supreme, I made a spot for it in the basement with the other large kitchen utensils. That was about 6 months ago. Now the Kitchenaid Mixer went to the basement and the SV lives on the counter full time.

It's not great for some things, but it really shines on most proteins. Try some flank steak or a eye of round for about 6-12 hours. Oh my!

The thing I love the most is the forgiveness to cook great food on your schedule so everything comes out at the same time. Your sides aren't done? Big deal, the steak will wait for you and still be perfect!

Meatman did you ever try the butcher paper wrap method again? I want to know how that turned out:cool:

You know we tried it another time, just wasn't getting the results we expected. I think there are a couple of tricks to this method. We'll keep trying.

Thanks for the advance heads up BP!! sheesh! :)

I'm on it all and it looks to be another tough one! I'll be nicer to you guys than those nasty SoCal judges were to us for sure.... lol

OK, before I go into who the top three calls go to I just want to mention that rule #2 of the contest rules must be followed to qualify as an entry. In other words, show the judge the pellets! (or the pellet cooker) :)

Weekly Contest Rules said:
2) You can cook with anything you want - gasser, charcoal, campfire, or pellet fueled. Just incorporate pellets into the cook somehow and show how you used them.

OK, done with the formalities, without further delay, here are this weeks pitmasters

Some very nice cooks but there can only be 3 calls so here are the top three finishers!

3rd Place: MossyMo

Reserve Grand Champion: RickB

Grand Champion: Meat Man

Will, I could eat those brisket tacos all day long! It's obvious why you're giving them a repeat performance. And that money shot of the super trimmed, nicely marbled brisket. And that color! OMG! From the looks of the color of the meat, it seems like you just harvested and butchered the steer out back 10 minutes ago. Start with a money shot and end with a money shot! Nice work!

I really appreciate BP calling the contest a couple of days early. I've had problems with trying to put something together on a random Friday. By Friday I may have made other plans for my weekend.

Having a couple of extra days didn't make my cook any better, at least I knew it was coming, and I was able to fit it in. :)

I now carry pellets in a small bag in my travel trailer in case I happen to be camping and there's a contest.
