alot of ppl pm'd me asking question about the mak 1 and 2 stars. i believe they ask because i own both grills. i have no problem answering question from anyone. i am always glad to help out. lets remember that this is pelletsmoking.com. a great place for us to hang out and gain information as well as swap big stories. if the info that you recieve here is good and if you do decide to purchase a mak or memphis let give the business to BPS. the only reason i say that is because he does pay for this great forum for us to hand out at. i don't know how much it cost to run a forum but i do know its not free. i myself have bought 4 grills from BPS. why? because at one time i purchased a memphis from BP. i had alot of problems w/ it. he let me switch grills to a mak. he took the lost because now he had a used memphis that he could not sell at full price. if that isn't great customer service i don't know what is. because of that one thing BPS has my business for life. when i ready to purchase my kids grills (3 kids) someday i will buy from him. i did buy a electric smoker at xmas from a company back east. i sent it back because of problems. i had to pay shipping to send it back to them at pay for their shipping cost to me. so my $730 smoker ended costing me $200 in shipping cost to get a refund. enough said. whenever i have problems w/ anything i get from BPS (i do mean anything) i am always treated w/ respect even if the problem was my fault. the team he as put together is fantastic. i'm just saying, lets not forget where were at here. now, let bug him more about getting our new rubs out. lol......

Hey I dont want any pressure but all we ask for is a shot...we have a low price guarantee and Im here seven days a week and I have a wonderful group of teammates that love to help! IF you choose to buy elsewhere we still want you and we always help out a brother or sister in need of pelletsmoking advice!

heh heh, lets not forget about the new rubs now. we got to have the good stuff (i think i have said this before but in the 70's). rubs, rubs, rubs. ok, i am done now. time to feed the dogs. :cool:

I agree with all. Big Poppa Smokers Customer Service is over the top. The reason Big Poppa only ask for a shot at your business is because he knows no one can match what Big Poppa offers at a very competitive price.

Well i called one morning and living in the east didnt think about time change. Was way early in the west but BP picked up the phone. So nice to talk to Sterling. That the owner is in early and talking to his customers is something y ou just don't see anymore. Needless to say he took my order and made a customer for life. The only other company that comes close is Makgrills. Two companys that will NEVER burn you. I bought my mak at BPS and would recommend everyone do so. But then again I buy everything i can from BPS.
