Looking at the 1 star for built in have questions.

It is hard to find information on the one star as a built in. What modifications and special accommodations need to be made for the built in unit. I have a 38 inch wide space that is 11 tall and 22 deep. It looks like the one star is 37.5 wide. So would fit. How do I handle the grease and is there any special venting? Does the one star sit on the bottom of the space or does it have the ability to be attached at the side like the gassers?

My Island is custom built out of concrete. 22 feet long. Don't really want to mod it much if I don't have too.

With the standard configuration you need venting space on the left (hopper end) for air intake to the fan, and the back for smoke to exit.

The grease drains on the right side (opposite the hopper) into a grease bucket.

Here's a pic showing the grease bucket and you can see the smoke vents from the back side.

Hope this helps.

I see you sent us an email but wanted to reply here for others too.
The 1 and 2 Star are not designed as a built in models but can be done with provisions for air flow, grease drainage, and maintenance access. If you want to build in these grills send us an email and we will help you with the specs.
