If you are using this at work to cook for everyone I'm sure you don't want to be babysitting it I suggest you take a good look at one with wi-if or wireless option. The best one for this from the ones you listed is the MAK, it also has a nice big flame zone for those burgers, brats, rib eyes & chops. You can turn on & off the grill, check & controll pit temps, check food temps all from the wireless handheld controller (or your smart phone) someone will correct me on the smart phone if I am mistaken.

Thanks for the great answer, Quadman!

For safety reasons, you can't turn the grill ON with the MAK Grills Mobile (Wi-Fi) option. We intentionally don't have that option to ensure that no one accidentally leaves the cover on and fires up the grill from work, for example.

Pellets are definitely a LOT less cleanup than charcoal, but a lot better flavor than gas!

If you want to be able to grill as well as smoke things like pulled pork, then go with a MAK. The 2 Star General has the FlameZone already built in. If you need a smaller footprint, then go with a 1 Star and add the optional FlameZone Drip Pan.

On a 1 Star, you can grill without the FlameZone, but grilling is definitely enhanced with it!

I am not sure that a pellet grill is the right choice for you. Sounds like you are looking to do some, or a lot of grilling, or hot and fast cooking.

I have experimented extensively with pellet grills to get great results for grilling. What I have found is the pellet grills accel at smoking, low and slow, long cooks. For hot and fast grilling nothing beats a good charcoal grill.

I use my Pellet smoker at least twice a week but keep my Weber Performer, propane start charcoal grill, for hot and fast grilling.

With MOST pellet grills I would agree, but there are a few that do a truly great job with grilling. MAK happens to be one of them. Honestly, my Weber Kettle has barely been used in the last few years, because I have no complaints with the results I get when I want to grill on our 1 Star General.

Just a couple of examples:

Our MAK 1 Star is, without a doubt in my mind, the most versatile grill I have ever owned.
