MAK Cover

I picked up a MAK a couple of months ago and have found the cover keeps blowing off. The most recent was this week while I was traveling for business (the wife was with me) and came back to a frozen cover piled in a corner and the grill covered with snow. I had placed a couple of items on each side for weight but it obviously wasn't enough. Has anybody else had this issue? Is there a reason why MAK doesn't use velcro on their covers like Weber does on their covers?

I did. Two bungee cords around the hood. Doesn't blow off any more

We poled customers and few wanted snaps or velcro glued to the grill. We were going to add grommets but there is a potential for them (and the bungee) to rub on the surface and cause scratches. A draw string exposes the bottom shelf so that doesn't work either...
If you don't mind the velcro you can use the self adhesive stuff and apply it on the front & back legs.

The Weber's velcro is stitched into the cover so the bottom of the cover can be "brought in" similar to what chili head's solution is doing.

Mine was blowing off all the time as well. I use several bungee cords and stretch them around the front of the grill tightly and hook each end on the deck rails. This does the trick. It's not exactly elegant, but it beats the heck out of wet pellets...
