you can't have them both hooked up at the same time. so I will have a nice remote hardly use sitting in my drawer . Unless I run into someone who has neither and wants a remote ( cough cough)

Wow kinda makes you wonder why they even sell the remote.

I actually get more from the remote than I do the wifi, I pulled the wifi and use the remote more. Perhaps when more of the components are working, I will fine the wifi more to my liking.

for fools like me to buy it and change my mind.........The remote works excellent and made me very happy coming from the poor controls of a traeger. But for some reason I can't recall or explain I talked myself out of wifi. I was even trying to keep the cost down and wifi is cheaper, so I have no idea what I was thinking. bright side , if I ever have wifi issues whatsoever I can get the remote out.

That's the only advantage in an see the remote has over the wifi sorge. If you're having a router issue or the MAK server is down you can still cook with the Bluetooth remote as long as you stay within range

Wifi showed up about an hour ago..... I am installed , up and running.....awesome, played around a little bit with it and I am going to enjoy the heck out of this, and save on batteries for the remote. Thank you Mak Grills
