I was puttering around our mini chest freezer this weekend, and came across three of the turkeys we butchered in November. Figured why the heck not, I'll do one up on the MAK, and we'll have turkey sandwiches and I'll make some turkey stock for the freezer.
Of course as the smells of smoked turkey started wafting over James's nose, he started dropping "hints" of "Gosh that smells so good... wouldn't it go great with some mashed potatoes for dinner tonight?" and "Geez I can almost taste the stuffing..."
Subtle, he is not.
So we had an impromptu mini Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday night, complete with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, homemade stuffing, and cranberry sauce.
That was a big ol' bird!!!
This was my plate, that I came nowhere near to finishing.
