Thighs, wings and legs with a little of BP's bird rub (good) and slash and dash of Wickers Marinate as the cook continues on.

MAK in smoke mode for one hour.. wife came out and said is it supposed to do that? I said yes its Smokin easy Easy smokin :)

after one hr on smoke mode bumped temp up to 325 cooked till internal at 180*

A little BQ sauce then ready to take off grill total time 3hr 20 minutes

how did the fam like the flavor of the chicken. oh, by the way. chicken looks fantastic partner. really nice. you are now baptized. welcome to our MAK FAMILY. you can be cousin hogsmoker. heh, i know you. aren't you the guy who lost two rubs of sparky's choice after the 49ers had a great season. yes, that is you cousin hogsmoker. lol, lol. ;)

bflodan: It was very very good surprised that is was as moist as it was the smoke flavor was there also as good and better than I was expecting.

sparky: I may have to pay up on the spices for sure CArds D really horrible but its early also :) Family is hooked now they really liked it.

HOg looks great...try pulling it at 170 and see how moist it is. The usda just changed the food safety tips finally and chicken is cook at 165..but if you are used to 180 you will love 170...either way fantastic first cook and welcome to the journey!

Looks good ,tell us about the Wickers sauce
Wickers sauce... is a vinegar based marinade and baste and IMO the best. Its made in a little town called Hornersville in SE Mo.
Its not hot has a peppery taste too it and a just a hint of tang works really good on chicken and I also use it in my baked beans for extra flavor. Wickers has been around these parts since the 40's.
Wish there was away for you too try in Jim.

Great way to start. Looks good. I am with STC, your grill is way too clean! I can only remember when mine was that clean. Now, fagetaboutit!
