My first MAK cake

I baked my first cake in 390 this weekend and I got to tell ya..it came out perfect! I was worried it was going to be too done on the bottom but it was excellent!
I started out with an easy one this time around. I baked a lemon and lime jello cake with whip cream on top.

I pre heated the MAK to 375 using oak pellets. I baked the cake for 32 minutes and here's what came out.

Once the cake is cooled you add your jello. My bad for not getting pictures of this step..you poke holes in the cake with a large fork and pour the jello over the top to soak into the cake. Put the cake in the fridge for a couple hours to get the jello to set up. Once cooled you put your whip cream on top.

Then all that's left is to enjoy!

The best part of this was the wife was razzle dazzled ! She says " maybe that smoker was worth it after all "

Nice Job, the MAK definitely works great as a convection oven.

Oak Smoked Jello Cake.. I've seen it all now! That looks great.....
