I'm Norm, was recently given by my wife an electric Cajun Injector electric smoker. I've only used it once, with OK results- think I overdid the mesquit smoke a bit on the ribs and tri-tip. Should the top vent be fully open for the duraqtionof the smoking time? Look forward to being a part of the forum.

Welcome.
You're going to want that vent at least a little open, depending on what you are smoking. For poultry, you are going to want it wide open.

Ditto for us. We have an electric Masterbuilt - vent wide open all the time.
