...but I'm also a stick burner.
I have a question about using wood chips to enhance smoke flavor in a Traeger. My plan is to fill a metal box (made for wood chips) with Hickory chips and put it on the back side of the grate in hopes of getting it hot enough to add smoke. Anyone tried that? I've thought about putting it on top of the plate that sits over the fire pot but I might want to refill it and that would be inconvenient during a long cook. Any experience out there?
Thanks,
Randy
P.S. I smoke on a Lang 36 Patio, Traeger Lil Tex, and a Charbroil side smoker.
