Wer had so much fun...the participants learned so much that we are doing it again for serious bbq chefs only Space is limited to 20 to insure quality instruction and access!

WE won our first GC and so did WOodhouse and JD, and when pigs fly from here Several people have won firsts since taking the class and one retired from BBQ. (Just a joke...but true...it had nothing to do with the class)

$600 per person includes meals and a 100% real class that simulates a comp schedule

Oh man, I said I wouldn't miss the opportunity if it came up again. And considering my catering and competition aspirations it seems like a no brainer. But that could be the opening weekend of deer hunting, of course I can't find out because the MN State Govt is shut down right now. I sure hope deer season starts the next weekend, and if so I hope I'm serious enough!

Edit: Just found it, opener on the 5th. Ugh. If it was just me I'd skip hunting but my 13 year old boy would have a fit. Decisions decisions! :)

It is geared towards competition. But a backyard cook like me will tell you I got my money's worth. The knowledge Johnny gives you it took him years to fine tune. I got to learn it in 2 days. It seems simple now that I know what I know. The notes I took are a great reference. But seeing it done is the magic. Just being able to spend two days with the Triggs is something special. With the limited numbers you really see everything. I'm glad for others that this opportunity is here again.

Johnny and Trish are awesome folks. Anybody that goes to a class with Johnny teaching will come away with a tremendous amount of knowledge on cooking good Q. Just great people.

I don't think I'm up to that par quite yet for competition but I have been doing my homework and I have seen some shows with him at work, it would be really fun and informative to try sometime? I would be interested in learning more on Comp BBQing any suggestions?

Thanks,

Dano

Is there an agenda for this and what is the time that this is being held, 9-5 or 8am-Mid :) Although I'm not really into competitions, is this class geared to competition quality cooking as that's what I am really after. Hmm I'll have to check where Disneyland is in relation to this course. Maybe a good way to get the girlfriend to go.
