ugly drum smoker

hi in new to smokers but im lookin to do about 6 tri tips and 2 sets of ribs how long to you think it will take to smoke them on a drum smoker? any help would be great i can kill a tri tip on a bbq but the real tast is a smoker.

OK this is great....Im starting Drumsmoking.com this next week!
Im not sure you can do those at the same time depending on the size of your drum...figure 40-1 hour on the tri tips smoke at 275..the ribs should be about 5 hours if you dont foil and four if you do...smoke at 250....if you foil foil the last hour with some butter honey apple juice or any concoction you feel would be good...not much of that stuff but you need some love in the foil

they sealed lids. we need a open lid drum w/ lid unlined. i'm still looking. i'm making a drum smoking for myself for sure. already got the drum kit looking for a unlined open drum. i found one company. unlined drum w/ lid $35. shipping $110. ouch. or a brand new drum lined her in sacto for $75 and to sand blast the inside $45. kinda hurts.

I am in too. I convinced my neighbor that we are both going to buy kits and build them.. looking for the barrels now!

Oh geez. BP repeats a formula to get Rob to spend more money.

Step 1: Make internet forum.
Step 2: Tell Rob how good product is, how to use product, etc.
Step 3: Rob wants product.
Step 4: Rob puts money in BP's pocket.

BP. Please don't start selling cars. :p
