newbie question

Hey Guys! Just took delivery of a new one star!! Anyway, I fired it up for the first time yesterday, and have a really stupid question/observation. Does it take a while before it will light if I am adding pellets for the first time? I assume the fireport has to fill up a bit before they will catch? It finally did light, buy seemed like it took about 15 minutes? And then, even with the temp on high, I never really saw temps north of the high 300's. It was pretty cold (40) and breezy here in MD yesterday. I used the hazelnut pellets that came from the factory. Thx in advance!

Hi There, first off a huge thank you for buying a MAK Grill and welcome to the family!

Yes, when the grill is new (or if you ever run the hopper out of pellets) it will take at least two ignition cycles to light or approx 15 minutes. After that you will have pellets in the tube ready to go so it will be much faster :)
Have fun and enjoy the 1 Star.
