I remember the recovery room...waiting in there was EVH, George Clooney (before he was a mega star), Luke, Miguel Ferrer, My family.....19 people the Doctores went rip Sh!t.

I am so appreciative for this result....and for the doctors at UCLA>

I made a promise back then to work forever to help with these diseasesWE have paid them back with 7 million dollars in donations over the years. The Casey Lee Ball Foundation also supports research at Texas Childrens Hospital, Seattle Childrens Hospital, and Cincinnati Childrens Hospital. The total is 8 million.

For 17 years we have had a charity golf event and unfortunately it has come to an end. WE will continue to donate and raise money for the children with the over 50 terminal kidney diseases.

Please hug your kids or loved ones and raise a toast.

When I just think about your son and you it makes my eyes tear up. In a good way. What you have done raising money and awareness for the cause makes me proud to call you a friend. Hugs for my family and loved ones is a givin. Will join all parents in a toast.

It truly was a special event. Being a very small part of it last year was amazing. Everyone - The folks from the hospital, the artists who came to play, and obviously the Ball family and friends.... it is quite magical to see the impact, and how everyone comes together. It definitely made an impact on me. I have no doubt Sterling will continue to move the ball when it comes to supporting terminal kidney diseases. Hugged the girls twice for good measure.

It's sad to hear of such a great event coming to an end, but I know you'll continue your help & support.

Thanks BP, for the reminder to never take our loved ones, or each other, for granted. Hugs for mine as soon as they get home from school!

It's not about the event, it's not about the money, it's about the heart. And you sir, have more than most men I know. God bless you.

BP you didn't come across as patting yourself on the back. What you have done for others is amazing. I'm proud to call you my friend.
SO sorry to hear of your emergency room scare, hope all is well now!

Did you post what happened to your son on another thread that I may have missed? I will just assume he had a life threating encounter if you don't want to post. Glad to hear he's fine or coping.

Scooter my son Casey was born with recessive polycystic kidney disease. Most kids dont make it to birth. WE discovered it at 2 and by the time he was six he had eight operations including getting my right kidney 18 years ago. We have had many scares but he is doing fine. yesterday was a scare but it worked out.

It was always a dream of mine to play in that tournament. My family was close friends with your friend Anthony Dimaggio (may he rest in peace) and we catered a couple of the tournament dinners 14 years ago. I still use the leather CLB headcovers Anthony gave me. Im really sad to hear it go.

Jim you have the restaurant in San Pedro? Great sausage I remember!!!!!!

Yes!!! Its may fathers restaurant. I remember Billy loving it too! We did shrimp sausage, grilled octopus, and smoked salmon quesadillas. We even got Gretzky to eat the shrimp sausage even though he said hates seafood. Just want to say, I have so much respect for you and everything you represent. I hope to one day tee it up with you.
