i know alot of ppl use different flavored pellets for different foods. switching from flavor to flavor depending on what food i am cooking is not something i want to do. i mix 2 or 3 different flavors and use that mix for everything. right now oak / cherry / apple. it works. going to order some pellets from BPS (going to try BBq delights pellets). been thinking about maple or pecan mixed w/ cherry. only 2 kinds mixed together to cook everything (pork, beef, fish, chicken & vege's) so, what do ya'll use?

Lately I've been enjoying a mix that I've enjoyed for years; Hickory & Apple.

Hmmm... Maple & Pecan are both lighter tasting smokes. Pecan tastes like a light Hickory (because it's a type of hickory) & sugar Maple has a slightly sweet taste.

This past year I was actually surprised by how delicious Sugar Maple was with beef summer sausage and beef Kielbasa.

My vote goes for the Sugar Maple mixed with Cherry. That seems like it'd give a really nice slightly sweet smoke that will still deliver some incredible color to your food. In fact now you've got me wanting to try that mix.

I cooked ribs today using the wine soaked oak. Also last weekend cooked chicken using the wine soak oak and I really like the flavor.
Peach is also one of my favorites . Going to try the sugar maple and cherry on my next order from BP.
I use my hickory mixed with charcoal pellets works good on burgers, dogs and chops.

I started out with a 50/50 mix Hickory and Apple. For the last year I have been using just Hickory. I love it and don't have to mix.

Hickory has always been my all time "go to" along with trying everything else. Lately I have been on a oak kick... and recently I acquired a flavor combination that is blended into the individual pellet (not a mix) of maple, hickory and cherry, good stuff!

Went through a hickory only phase for a while. Then an apple only phase...now im on a mix of the two. I seem to get a better smoke ring with hickory.

So far I have tried oak, wine soaked oak, cherry, apple and hickory. Just got in another 160# this week. Thx BP. Two new flavors. Pecan and sugar maple. Cant wait to try them. For pork my goto is a hickory/apple mix. Beef is wine soaked oak or plain oak. Fish mostly apple. Looking forward to trying the sugar maple with fish and the pecan with everything.

I have been using mainly apple and oak with some hickory thrown in. Just received a shipment yesterday and I am going to try some pecan. Also got some of the charcoal to try with steaks.

I like using BBQ'ers Delight Apple, Maple and Hickory for most stuff but I also use 100% alder ( Bear Mountain ) for Salmon.

I use BBQ Delight oak, hickory, apple, and cherry. I also make a oak, hickory, apple mix. I like the oak with beef, hickory on low and slow long cooks, apple on pork, and cherry on chicken, but I also mix it up. Ordered in bulk from BP a couple of months ago and added wine soaked oak and pecan to the list (getting 500#, why not try something different!), but haven't tried them yet. I am really looking forward to a tritip and a ribeye with wine soaked oak!

I've been experimenting with mixing the BD 100% apple and cherry grilling pellets with their hickory and maple smoking pellets.
