If your like us and have a Roku Player for your TV, you can now add & watch the "Outdoor Cooking Channel", including the "BBQ Central Radio Show".

Roku :: Outdoor Cooking Channel

How cool is that being able to lie in bed or sit on the couch and watch episodes of BBQ Central? :cool:

We love our Roku players too! In fact we have two of them. One for downstairs and one for upstairs. The downstairs one is the original Roku player we got when they first came out. At that time they were so new, there was only one model, and only had one channel available; NetFlix.

Roku is absolutely, hands down, the best streaming device on the market. We have three other streaming devices in our home; a Sony BlueRay, a Samsung BlueRay, and a Visio Smart TV with 3-D. None of them stream as smoothly or reliably as either of our Roku players, and all were a lot more expensive.

The only one that comes close is the Visio TV. The Sony network, for streaming, just flat out sucks. Even NetFlix says they have far less issues with Roku than any other device, and Sony players is where they have the most issues.

If you have an Amazon Prime account (which we do) there is a whole slew of movies and shows that Amazon includes FREE that you can stream. While Not quite as big as Netflix, but still pretty large.

So. Cal, Both my show and Outdoor Cooking Channel are internet based programs/channels. I am not on any "terrestrial" station that I know of. Likewise, OCC is at the The Outdoor Cooking Channel - outdoor cooking, bbq, grilling, camp cooking, web address for viewing at this point. I do know that Kevin is looking at possibly doing something with his set up that might allow him to do both internet broadcast (as he is doing now) and also be able to stream to actual TV outlets.

Hope that helps!

Same here Cliff. I bought mine when Roku only had Netflix on it and before bluray players started including them as a feature. Now there are tons of streaming channels on the Roku to choose from!! There are also 3 different Roku streamers to pick from now! I only recall having the $99 model to choose when I purchased.
And yes, when Greg announced on BCRN that the OCC was on Roku I subscribed! Love it!

They actually added a fourth model not long ago. We got the Roku2 XD which actually streams some channels in 1080P (Netflix is one - as long as your TV & Internet connection support it). The HD NetFlix stuff is as sharp as a BlueRay.
