Hello, I'm new to pellet smoking after many years of propane grills and traditional vertical smokers.
I am curious as to if there are specific pellets that will burn hotter than others. I know this is true with larger chunks of different hardwoods.
The Traeger website list all of the available varieties as 8500 BTU per pound. Wouldn't oak and mesquite burn hotter than others?
