D Duke New member Aug 20, 2011 #1 Sorry folks I haven't smoked in a few weeks. Wife couldn't find a Boston Butt, so she brings me a 3.5lbs pork loin with bone. Kinda looks like a butt, but it is not. Any suggestions on how to cook this tomorrow. I have a MAK2 Duke

FLBentRider New member Aug 20, 2011 #2 Interesting. I've never seen a pork loin with a bone. I would probably put your favorite rub on it and cook at 225F until an IT of 145-147F. Rest for 20 minutes or so, slice and serve.

D Duke New member Aug 22, 2011 #4 The pork it turned out to be a Pork Loin with very large bone in it. Also I would I like to say, that cooking this with out the use of thermometer would of ruined it, The meat IT was pulled out at 145 degrees and was perfect. I will keep trying new things. Duke
