I smoked up a couple 10 lb pork shoulders last week and now getting around to posting it. Used some olive oil as the glue. Seasoned with Cabelas Open Season Seasonings:
Open Season Mountain Man Bourbon and Pecan Honey
Open Season Mesquite Chipoltle
Once seasoned into the fridge for six hours. Out of the fridge then into the Traeger Classic on "smoke" setting @ 1:30
Woke up at 8:00 and turned up the Traeger to 180 degrees. Bumped up temp again at 16:30 to 225 degrees. Pulled the shoulders at 18:00 @ IT of 203 degrees. Let it rest for an hour.
Pulled
Loved the robust and sweet flavor of the Mountain Man Bourbon/Pecan Honey. Will definately do again. The Mequite Chipoltle was good but didn't quite taste like I was hoping for. Thanks for looking.
