Roast Turkey with Turnip Mashed Potato’s and Glazed Carrots

Get a brine going for the Turkey

Let cool and add the bird for a 8 hour brine

Bird ready to roast. Add a little seasoning and onto the Mak

Cook till about 165 IT

Let’s get to work on the sides.

Potatos First

Cube turnip and potato. Boil till tender

Add cream,butter,salt and pepper and whip well

Onto the carrots.

Glaze well and roast till tender.

Let’s finish it off with Jalapeno Chedder Cornbread

Mix the dry then add the wet. Into the trusty Iron skillet to cook

Make a Little pan gravy from the drippins

Lets plate it up

Looks good Rick! What was in your brine?

Chicken stock, salt, peppercorns, plowboys fin and feather rub, garlic powder and water. Heat till blended and cool. Add ice and brine for 8 hours.
