Took the day off for two reasons today. First, to be able to watch the Ryder Cup and second because I have about a 18 hour cook to do. Anybody else love the Ryder Cup?

I am knocking off early today to get supplies for the Ryder Cup Weekend!!!

My wife is sick of hearing about the Ryder cup.... but hey it only happens every four years (on US soil) right?

Long weekend of golf and grilling.... can't think of much else that could be better.

Nah Rick, Golf is one of those sports that to me is meant to play, not watch. I guess if you love any sport enough it becomes a spectator sport. I don't love golf, I can play and used to play alot until well after high school graduation but sort of fell out of it 25 or so years ago. :(

Did really enjoy it when I was playing it but even when I liked it I never thought to go watch a tournament somewhere and I live 2 hours away from Pebble Beach.

I've been watching all day. Good play on both parts. I'm a pretty decent golfer. Carry a 2 handicap but I can't even fathom the pressure they face

I Agree it is a sport one must play to appriciate. But most of us will never play pebble at $450 a round. Or go to carnustie and play links golf. But the Ryder Cup is more than just playing a course or a game, it's a compition that has many years of history that brings the best of the game to the world of sports. If you don't like the Ryder Cup you dont appreciate the game of golf.
