Safer Cutting Boards: Wood or Plastic?

Now if you can afford an end grain board......that is living large. On my long term wish list.

I'm not sure I can afford one, but I will definitely be making one this weekend. Hickory endgrain - I am thinking my great grandchildren will be using it!

Thanks. Like most my cooking until my mak have been on stuff that worked but not the best way of doing it. Little things make it more enjoyable and easie to cook. Always thought wood was easier on knives but not safe. Will be getting me some wood boards.
