The wife and I are going out to Seattle/Tacoma for a wedding next weekend. Any good thoughts on places to eat there? We have 3 nights in Tacoma and 1 night in Seattle.

Thanks, Patrick

The Pike Place Market in Seattle has a lot of different places to eat. As for Tacoma, I don't have anyplace specific. Have gotten some killer seafood there, but it was awhile back and I don't remember the name.

Johnny's Dock in Tacoma is (was) very good. Haven't been there in years, but I still use all of their seasonings. Google Johny's Fine Foods to see what all they sell. Viafore's Deli (Italian - VERY Italian) in Fircrest is excellent as well.

My wife's family is from Tacoma, and they send us goodies from Viafore's all the time. Definitely pick up some of the Columbus Dry Italian Sausage to take back to CT.

Pike's Place Market is a must see. The restaurant on top of the Space Needle is pretty good as well. (you are paying for the view)

I was in Seattle a couple of weeks ago and we ate at a place called Tullios. It was fantastic. I had what they called a pork shank dinner. It's located downtown on 5th and spring street if i remeber right. We were staying at the W holtel just a block away.

Not sure where you're staying in Tacoma but if your near the central district, Asado on 6th is a good Argentinian place, they do a killer skirt steak. They also do yucca fries which are interesting. The 6th ave district has a lot of cool restaurants and bars as well.
