Cooked four racks of ribs today. That's two batches at 3.5 hours each Sparky style on my Traeger jr. Each rack had different BP seasoning on it. Money, LLw p, Bovine bold, Jamaican jerk. I cut up the racks and headed out to friends and family to see which was the best. I had a note pad with me to write down their responses. No rub won out. The responses that I got were more along the lines of "This is the best BBQ I have had in this town". If this was NC, MO, or TX I might be impressed but it's Yakima WA.
We have a few rib places in town. The methods that you guys have taught me blow them all away. I would love to do this for a living! I need to get my 16 year old son on his path first. My big weakness is sides. I concentrate on the main dish and then as an afterthought throw a salad together. Any recommendations on essential side dishes?
