Smoke Control for the MAK 2

I'm looking to purchase either a MAK 2 or Memphis Pro. As a newbee, I want to be able to control the degree of smoke. I understand that the Pro generates very controlled smoking (subtle). Can you easily regulate the smoking on the MAK 2 in case I find the taste to be too smoky for me? Too much of a good thing can sometimes overwhelm the taste.

Thanks

You regulate the amount of smoke on a MAK by the temperature you set it at. The lower the temp, the more smoke you get. I generally do ribs at 275, butts at 225, chicken at 325, and I reverse sear steaks (watch the BP videos) The smoke that the MAK produces is perfect and they are doing very well in competition. The pellet boss lets you program how much smoke you want and for how long. Both grills are very well built and you will be happy with either. I like being able to program the MAK, and the remote Pellet Boss is great for cold climates.
