Snuggie for the stove

I have a Green Mountain Grill and have been having great success with it this past half year. I have it up to my cabin at Wildhorse, Nevada. The winters get mighty cold at times. 20's and lower for a couple of months anyway.

They sell a thermo blanket made for the grill. Say it keeps the heat in and saves on pellets.

Anyone out there ever used one of these "snuggies"... They are a bit spendy but what isn't these days...

Well in extremely cold weather it could pay for itself in pellet consumption reduction since the GMG is not insulated. Some people just get a welding blanket and use that. You might need to modify the welding blanket to fit.

I use the thermo blanket on my Yoder and it has worked very well at temps into single digits. It heats up fast and has had a very positive effect on pellet consumption. I'm looking forward to doing a brisket at -30 this winter.

Yea, second thought, I'm going with the thermo blanket. I checked on the internet for welding blankets. They don't come cheap either.
I feel sorry for the young guys & gals that are just starting out with a trade where they have to buy tools...
Attempting to do a couple of pork butts this weekend up at the "horse", with a hickory/apple mix. Going to try my first attempt to show off my efforts on this forum too. It's not -30 yet up there but it's cooling down fast...
