Potatoes are really good, but I need to work on them a bit. Perhaps just a single layer next time so they cook evenly?

The SOW soaked pork loin rocked!

Looks good Squirt! Keep us informed on your lemon potato tweaks, it sounds really interesting. I agree a single layer might help.

Looks killer!!! I love the herbs and garlic crusting up on the outside of the loin!! When I use my BBQ Marinade (instead of the pork injection) on a loin like that.... I do it spedini style. I'll trim that open so you have one long 3/4 inch sheet of meat. Coat in Italian breadcrumbs and Pecorino Romano, roll back up and skewer 2 inch sections onto bamboo skewers. Lemon Potatoes look to be a killer idea also! I'll be trying them!

That sounds really good as well! I'm not much for knife skills, but I might be able to find a rolled pork roast at the store and 'unroll' it.

It all looks good. Those potatoes have peeked my curiosity. I'll have to give them a try.

Wow, so many good things this week going on my list. :)

Here is the potato recipe as given to me:

Peel & Slice 6 - 8 Russet potatoes into 8 long pieces. Place in pan and add lots of olive oil and a cover with chicken broth and the juice of 2 lemons. I zest mine first and then throw into the 9x13 glass pan. Salt & pepper to taste, I added some gahhlick. Cover with foil. Place in 350º oven until done, about an 1.5 - 2 hrs. Can be smoked also.

I think the trick is that they most be completely submerged in the EVOO/Chicken Broth/Lemon Juice bath.

And they take a while to cook.. 1.5 hours minimum.

That looks great!

I wish that SOW didn't have anchovies in it.

FYI, The BBQ marinade that Squirt used does not have anchovies in it. Our other product, the Pork injection, has Worcestershire, and in order to be compliant with FDA guidelines for ingredient list/nutritional facts panel, I have to outline the ingredients in the Worcestershire - so that is why you see Anchovies - they are an element in the Worcestershire.

Hope that helps.

I did look at both ingredient lists, I got them mixed up. Sorry about that, I have edited that post.

Some Worchestershire has anchovies and some does not, but I like to be careful.

No worries here, You brought up a great point, so figured I would just add a little definition to it :) We try to have both the anchovies noted in the list, and we have the allergy statement at the bottom, too. Always want to protect those with allergies.

i'm suppose to read labels? i love the SOW chicken marinade. this stuff is simply fantastic on anything that comes from the water. shrimp, scallops, lobster, crab, fish (love it on white fish). i'm sure its great on chicken but i dont use it for that. i had one of the first bottles produced that andy and kim signed. i tried to save it but..... the stuff was too good not to use. sorry.
