I take out what you identified as the nerve. It's easy to see as it's a much darker color than the rest of the thigh meat. If a vein looks to be bloody I will take it out, never just thought about cutting it in half, sound like a real simple process. I like BP technique with the tweezers. I'm gonna try it out this weekend at the Sams comp, as our chicken scores have been killing us.
Finally had a good chicken call 5th place scored a 171. We had a OK day at the Sams comp we can definitely do better, finished 3rd overall. Looking forward to Sams Las Vegas and Mesquite at the end of the month.
