Three problems solved

I'm 65 years old and suffer from CRS so it's quite often that I have to read my last smoking log to find out what pellets are in the hopper. I hate that. So I needed a way to remedy this. I needed some kind of "tell". So I found some light colored plastic and cut a star shape out and glued a magnet to the back - problem solved.

When I bought my 1 star I didn't buy the tool rack because it protrudes out from the end of the side shelf and I saw this as being a possible problem putting the cover on and off. But I missed a rack so I visited my dealer to look at a rack on the grill. Yup, it looked like it would go on under the shelf with the hooks facing the fire box so I bought one. It fit like it was meant to go here.

Someone on the forum came up with the great idea of putting a jar in the grease collection pail and throwing it away when it's full. So I needed a place to store the cover. A magnet on the bottom of the side shelf serves as a handy lid storage spot.

What have you done to mod your MAK or what good ideas have you come up with to make our jobs as MAK pit-masters easier? Thanks for looking.

Great ideas, especially mounting the tool hook inside-out like that!

I had the idea of using a small set of business card magnets for remembering which pellets are in the hopper. A separate magnet for each flavor (sometimes I mix flavors together).

Nice Job, the hooks can also be mounted to the grill where the side shelf mounts.
The design intent was to mount on the outside facing in or out but your way looks good too.
