Tri-tips on sale

My local Abertson's had untrimmed Tri-tips on sale for $2.99 a Lb. I was surprised how much little fat trimming was required on the bottom. Real good deal

They must have had at least 25 more packages on the floor!

It is common to find Tri-tips on sale out here. They are one of those items to draw you into the store so you buy other things. And they usually have a limit on the amount of packs you can purchase but not this time although I only bought two packs

Those are massive sized TT's! Those are well into the 4lb range. Great buy!

Score, sometimes your not so lucky. I did the same thing a few months back and there had to be a least two pounds of fat on them. The numbers didn't work out when I was done should have just bought the trimmed ones.

Weill20 you are right about that. Sometimes they are sneaky with the amount of fat on the bottom. These happened to be trimmed up pretty well and not a huge amount of fat. I find the smaller sized Tri-tips are a better deal during these sales as far as fat content.
