Tried BBQers Delite Pellets

And I like the results! I've used mostly Traeger pellets and definitely alder based pellets only and wanted to try something without alder. I used the pecan flavor on an 8.6lb butt with Byron's Butt Rub. Very tasty and the best butt I've done in the 6 or 7 years I've been smoking. I'm not a Traeger hater but I won't be using their pellets after I finish the 1/2 bag I have left. Next I'll be trying GMG pellets.

Not out west. They are about twice as much. But worth it. I don't like Traeger pellets.

In my Traeger a 10lb bag barely lasted long enough for the butt I did today and that's with me pushing the pellets over the auger. I will probably pick up 2 bags of the most recommended pellets in this thread.

Love BBQ Delight pellets. I use mostly the hickory. How is the charcoal. I've been wanting to try those.

i have been using tragger pellets in my tragger because that is all I can find in my area as of right now. I looked at BBQ Delights and might order some from them. Do the Delights last longer then tragger pellets? It seems like with some long smoking meats I can use almost a 1/2 to a 3/4 of a 20 lb bag. Would also be interested in trying other pellets if anyone has any thoughts. i will have to start lookng around more and see who else sell pellets in part of the country. Thanks for your info

You can always save those Traeger pellets for when your butts and briskets are wrapped in foil and do a pellet dump then refill with the Traeger.

I had been using GMG pellets, but am currently trying hickory BBQ Delite. Can't notice much Difference in them. Let me know what you think after trying them both
Never tried Traeger.
