I have two items....first, I noticed that when running I sometimes hear three beeps coming from the unit...is that normal..what does it mean?

Second...no matter what I do I get grease running down into the bottom of the unit..and now it's even leaking out and running down the right front leg...I have made sure the triangle piece is correctly inserted....help!

Thanks for input.

I've only had mine for a week but I'll take a stab.

The beeps you hear are when your unit reaches the set temp if you are not using the temp probe.

The grease is most likely due to the grease catch not being installed correctly. This can be one or possibly two things. The piece you slide in at the very end (wedge like) is in backwards. Make sure to check your instructions on which way it faces and make sure the lips at the top corners are in properly as well as the narrow end at the bottom of the wedge. Two, the grease trough that fits in just before the grease tray/flame zones MUST fit properly over the wedge piece I just mentioned. If either one or both of these are not "seated"/installed properly, you will more than likely have a leak.

If you are uncertain or need help with it call MAK tech support. They are very good people!

Yes the beep is a set point notice we added from a customer suggestion.
Typically leaks are caused by foil, misplacement of the parts or food hanging in the gaps (old 2 stars and 1 stars).
Grease will also combine with the air and smoke (especially on higher temps and with greasy foods like chicken) and end up on all the inside surfaces of the grill.
The best leak detection test is to clean up the grill then while cold poor some water on the tray and watch where it goes.
