well, last week when i cooked on Ursula my daughter didn't like the food. it was funny tasting. i was using lump w/ pellet packets and pieces of apple wood in Ursula. well, she told my wife who was out of town last week. so, this was 1st cook w/ Ursula for mrs spark. she wanted me to use Hazel to cook the chicken. i told her if she didn't like the food off of Ursula i would stop using her. alot on the line here. i wasn't worried. i talk to BP about some of my problems w/ the drum. he told me to keep it simple. just use kingsford comp charcoal. no lump or wood. okie dokie. i also did some research on drums and found out your suppose to leave the top vent wide open all the time. control heat w/ bottom vents. i got this.

silent movie night. no talkie.

Let me be sure that I got this right - you wrapped an ear of corn with bacon? Yikes! Why didn't I think of that!?

Chicken looks perfect sparky. I like the looks of the corn..I'm trying that. Great cook!
Can you show me the charcoal you used? What's different about it compared to regular kingsford?

Looks like she earned her keep!

If she would have been kicked out I could give her a place to stay ;)

Kingsford comp is lump pressed into briquette shape...the regualr kingsford has chemicals and biners....most briquettes do

Sparky can tell you about that corn!

Sparky,
Another quality cook, my friend. The chicken looked great. The corn, well, I think you took that to a new level!! Do tell us more about the corn.

i got the idea of the corn from jeanie (cowgirl). i saw her do it. its really good stuff. the bacon and the corn together. oh ya. she also told me that the bacon should cover all the corn. that way the kernels stay moist. its really a thing of beauty. the taste is super good. :)
