Voltage Compatibility

Hi guys

A slight variation on this topic, apologies if you think it should be its own thread, happy to start one if you think worth it.

I was wondering if the Mak 2 Star or Memphis Pro are compatible out of the box with Australian or European voltages and frequencies. US is 110-120V at 60Hz, Australia is 220-240V at 50Hz.

Does anyone know if they are? And if not, can they be converted? I'm less worried about the overall voltage (can always buy a transformer when I move there), but the frequency difference concerns me. Will that alter the way the controller runs the auger/fans? Will I always be "off" in how the grill is operating? Will it affect the life of the grill/controller?

Thanks!

Darman, I went ahead and moved this into its own thread so it can get a better response. I bet the folks at both MAK & Hearthland Tech Support can answer this.

Good afternoon Darman-- our owner, Bob Tucker, is out an an event until Tuesday morning, and he'd be the one to best answer your question. I'll send him an email with your question, and find out about the voltage conversion and what that might effect.
