So.....Memphis for 2012 is giving the customer the choice in his/her grade of stainless on the Pro....304 or 400....They have added a larger grill...The Elite...(I hope there is no rub with them using the name as Traeger also has an elite)It has optional direct flame cooking, easy clean out, and its 50% bigger.

MAK is starting with the new Two Star General.....Perfecting a classic. Really crazy good heat deflector, quick change grease tray, (full flame/no flame) 302 Stainless body, new pellet Boss Controller that is easier to operate and a groovy new color for the powder coated surfaces on the sides...Bravo.

The Four Star General is coming right behind that....Over 7,000 inches of cooking with the new exclusive racking system, 2 fire pots (you can set one to smoke and the other to high, seven cooking probes, temp readings for selectable racks, WIfi Iphone control
40 lbs pellet hopper... Can be built in or on a cart MAK Daddy thinks he is the MAK Daddy but no more....the Four Star is the MAK DADDY!

It sure looks like both companies are in it to win it! The "price" of poker just went up to all the other players in the marketplace.

I would really like to see the sizes and specs on the Memphis units in the Built-in version as I am in the midst of building an outdoor kitchen! I am not certain that I could fit a 50% larger "elite" version or not. Are the any details? I'm probably a couple weeks or less from ordering the granite counter top and would need to know before I ordered that. Also does anyone know if that built in requires any hardware mounted below the counter top beyond the cut out for the grill and insulated insert? Can the control panel be mounted anywhere?

thanks

I went to Mak today and checked out the new 2 Star, that thing is amazing. I was blown away with how fast the quick change worked and the full size flame zone. The full stainless steel looked like a piece of art.
