Whats on your Christmas Dinner menu?

My good friend Kevin is coming up from Columbus to spend the day with us and he loves Smoked Duck, so we're doing two; one to eat for dinner and one for him to take home with him.

What are you folks cooking?

We are doing our traditional prime rib with roasted potatoes and Brussel Sprouts and Brown Betty. Ribs and veggies will be cooked on the MAK for sure and maybe the Brown Betty. Looking forward to an enjoyable day with friends and family. We will start our day with the traditional breakfast of chocolate gravy and biscuits.

Started Prime Rib tradition a few years back, last year was first time on the MAK, this'll be second year.
What I really look forward to though is Christmas Eve! We do a variety of small dishes, think anything that'll give you heartburn, and open some wine. I usually do a homemade cheese dip, Buffalo style wings in the deep fryer with homemade blue cheese dip and homemade buffalo sauce (I think I need some bottled stuff cause it turned out super hot..), and usually some chili pepper dish, this year I'm trying a variation on the poppers, with battered fried sliced fresh jalapeno and dipping sauce. Also this year I decided to whip up a few Pita chips a variety of dips to help cut the heat. In laws bring chili and shrimp and some other things.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas eve tradition at our house is homemade(by me) Swedish potato sausage and Swedish brown beans. My earliest memories are of this meal at my grandmother's house, including the aroma of the beans simmering on the stove for hours. I'm sure this tradition started more than a few generations ago. For those that don't know, this is not pork 'n beans and does not smell or taste remotely like them. They're made with brown and white sugar, white vinegar and cinnamon sticks in the simmer. I just walked into the kitchen where this is in progress right now......heaven! WINNING!

just had a pig processed so I am doing one of the hams......first time doing a ham o could be interesting. spent a lot of time searching on here to learn about the different hams , cooked, cured and so on. Yesterday for Christmas eve dinner I made bread pretzels and potatoes soup on my mak 2 star. call me crazy but it sure seams that my same recipes from when I used a traeger sure taste better on my 2 star. I'd probably say it was all in my head but my wife said the same thing.
