What's playing......

When your smoking?

Nothing better than kicking back on the patio in a comfy chair, cold beverage in hand, tunes on the stereo and watching the pellet cooker work it's magic. What's your soundtrack when your smoking?

Lately mine has been Cody Canada and the Departed, the Gourds, Whiskey Meyers, O.A.R, Mad Caddies, CCR, JJ Grey and Mofro, and Black Country Communion just to name a few.

How bout you? What's on when you hit play?

When the MAK is running on the back deck, the only thing playing is the wind in the trees, the birds singing, and after the dark the light show from the lightning bugs. (Civilization is just over the hill but I can' hear from the back deck).

Well this weekend, it was TUF, and the new Bonamassa. But my music varies. I have several BBQ mixes. Some are old school HoDeDo tune lists, some are all blues (Tab B., Jonny L., Joe B, etc)... Then I havea few funk / R&B sets as well. Many Sat. comp mornings, Ray Charles - Anthology is blaring. Sometimes I need a little Soul Power (if you are double funky, check out the horns in the Chuckii Booker version (Soul Trilogy Pt. 1) for example...

Mine varies too. Definately listen to Bonamassa and Rodney Crowell, sometimes Whiskey Meyers and the red dirt bands, Kevin Fowler, Stevie Ray V, I love classic rock. I listen to just about anything. heavy metal, blues, country, classical.
I think I just love music. :)

Im with cowgirl I like a bit of everything from rock to metal folk to jazz. We have a real good rock station that covers lots of the old rock and some of the new stuff as well.

We've got a local radio station with a playlist right out of "The Big Chill"... I just leave it on in the garage. I'd like to find a used Bose Wave Radio (just the radio, not the CD player) to put out on my patio while I'm cooking.

Almost every time I cook on the grill I get to listen to a live neighborhood band... of dogs. The smoky smell of the food cooking must be getting to them! ;)

I do love Bonamassa, but for tomorrow's virgin smoke I've decided it has to be old school so I'm going with Jerry Jeff Walker and a bit of Willie.
