Deb I have not been on DJ's site in a couple of years. I used to enjoy visiting with them in Paltalk. :)

lol Andy I do seem to be everywhere. I've visited a lot of cooking forums in the last few years and now post on two.....this one is the friendliest by far! :)

How accurate are the thermometers that are mounted on the doors? Are the Door thermometers that Yoder gives you as an additional accessory close to accuracy as the Maverick wireless thermometers! Or are they a waist of money!

The thermometers are very accurate temp indicators. I haven't done a boiling water temp test on it, but I also use Maverick 732's and from what I see the Yoder thermometers are very accurate. If your using a Maverick or other cabled temp probe the additional thermometer is not really needed but it is a nice visual reminder of what temp you are at along with the digital display of the Yoder's controller.
