1 Star - Flame Zone?

We finished our testing then ran into some issues during production so we had to start over. I currently have another version in the works and hope to have testing completed soon. You know us, we want to get it right (or at least as close as we can) before releasing production :) We have already tested this design on the 4 Star with great success even at 750 degrees :)

Mak 1 flame Zone

Okay, like my name says, yes I am a virgin to my pellet grill. I really have a very stupid question though. While using my Mak 1 flame zone all the grease will drip on the bottom of my grill, am I setting this up right?

How many folks out there using the searing grate for there primary grilling surface on both sides?

I use twin searing grates over my full-width flame zone more often than not. Lots of flexibility with them. I will, occasionally, pull them out, pull out my diffuser, and drop in a GrillGrate directly over the flame. I do this when I am only doing one or two steaks.
