Possible to post the instructions or a photo?

There is a empty chip slot on your on your electronic board. Mine is in use by the bluetooth module. If you dont have the remote all you have to do is plug the wifi module in and mount the antenna. Piece of cake. Takes 15 minutes.

The older models (like mine) don't have the hole for the antenna like newer models do so a hole will need to be drilled. I don't know what serial number they started adding a hole for the WiFi antenna. Could add a few minutes to your timeline if a hole needs to be drilled. I think it took me about 30-45 mins to mount the antenna (needed to drill a hole), update the PB operating system, connect the WiFi module, configure the WiFi module with my wireless network SSID and passphrase.
For the production users, all those steps will only need to be done one time because MAK Grills is removing every bug so when it's available, it'll work great the first time!

This I am looking forward to, I understand it may be released in about a month. I know MAK is trying hard to work out the major bugs before release and that is appreciated. Being an IT professional, I know that no matter how hard they try, a contingency for every feature (bug) is not always possible.

Having the pleasure to test this unit, I must say between testing when we had to send the module back in for second round testing. I missed not having it a lot. It is nice that anything that uses a browser will monitor and can have multiple computers log in at once. The email function for me is like instant. When your running a timed program step it shows a timer so you know where you are in that step.
With the ability to have what appears unlimited user programs is what makes this special it is easy to install and use.

I will add that if you just follow the instructions it all works very easy. Once setup The MAK Grills Mobile I think is as easy as using the Pellet Boss, but with a load of new features. Honestly I now turn on our MAK set web control to on and walk into the house. The MAK will start then in smoke mode until I log into MAK Grills Mobile and set the temp or cooking program. I like using cooking programs even if it is just for one temp.

Ditto that. So easy and very cool to control #28 through my iPhone!

OK folks the MAK Grills Mobile launch is about to take flight and will be ready to order on 5/20/2013 :)

BPS has informed us that they want MAK Grills to take care of their existing customers Wi-Fi needs due to the updating and or exchange of the Pellet Boss controller. If you are a current MAK Grill owner please contact MAK Grills at [email protected] for details.

If you are a new customer (you bought your grill after 5/7/2013) please order your Wi-Fi module directly from Big Poppa Smokers!

Barry, pay close attention to upper case and lower case. It has to match exactly your SSID and the same goes for your passphrase.

Hi there! I've installed the mobile system and I've got to say it's pretty cool! I had logged in from the car's web browser and all the occupants were marveling at how we could monitor temps while driving.

One thing I did notice is that the web control is timing out. The first timeout happened after 3 hrs and the second timeout after 30 mins. The smoker is about 8 feet from the wireless router so the connection should be strong. Any ideas on what could be happening? Should I simplify my wi-fi settings? (using WPA2 Personal security right now)

@scooter whereabouts in the bay are you? I'm smoking over in Redwood City.

Thanks all!
