Retirement Plans?

Now I know I'm not the only old fart around here. I am retireing in two years and I was wondering what others were thinking about doing when you retire. I have been cooking for almost three decades and was thinking about a food truck. Sounds like the perfect job. Cook lunch and out on the course for a round of golf in the afternoon. What's your plans?

What ever it is, based on what I have seen you cook here... count me in line every time I am in the ATL.

I moved from ATL to SD... used live up in Alpharetta just off the GA400. I don't miss the traffic. I have friends and family in ATL and I still come done that way for work.

Rick! Sounds like you're trading one job for another, not retiring!! But I guess you need something to occupy your days so doing something you like will either fill the bill or make you hate food service!

We are about 5 years shy of retirement and plan to disappear into the south Pacific. We don't plan to do anything that resembles work.. get up with the sun, go for a swim in the back yard, have some lunch, take a nap, go for a swim in the back yard, have some dinner, have a sundowner, crash and then do it again.

Rick, I've got about two years also, I'll be 65 in March. I'd like to buy a metal lathe, milling machine and a sheet metal bender, so I can pursue BBQ mods and other things. I also love growing gourmet garlic and cold smoking it.

The "beer cart" is a great retirement pick.
Grab the early hours, wrapping it up at 3PM or so.
Then it's free golf. Bang out 9 & head home.
Can not beat it.
