I currently use a Chargriller with a side smoker box. Mostly do Baby Backs with my own rub. I use a chimney starter and Hickory wood. Anyways I didn't even know pellet grills existed until a couple weeks ago. I first looked at Traeger then MAK Gen 2 but noticed they don't get super hot for searing. I order a 1/2 hog and 1/2 steer from a local farmer yearly so I do like my steaks seared on a hot grill. That got me leaning toward a FE PG1000 but then I got steered toward the Memphis brand. Hoping to own the Elite by mid summer or so. I am from SW Michigan so need something to hold the heat during winter.
