I just cleaned the MAK and fired her up. Im demonstrating the MAK tonight for my wife's friends and their husbands who are interested in getting into the pellet smoking craze. We're doing three slabs of baby backs with money and two spatchcocked chickens with desert gold. Planing on the ribs being done at 4 The chicken will go on and be done by 5.

Rainey day here but still a beautiful day as I finally get to play with the smoker!!! I'm starting with bacon ,then on to a turkey ,test for the thanksgiving one.

Was thinking of some Thanks giving practice also. I'm doing appetizers for the big family gathering. Recently I read that Melissa Cookston of Yazoo's Delta Q won the big Kingsford cup championship and one of the categories was a five ingred one bite. She won that category with a jalapeño cream cheese stuffed shrimp with a bacon wrap glazed with sweet chili sauce! I'll be making that today and possibly a trial run of BP's chorizo and smoked jalapeño cornbread stuffing.
